This first aid salve is a must for every medicine cabinet, and recommended for your purse, diaper bag, backpack, camping gear, etc.
The recipe is adapted from age old formulas for fast healing of cuts, scrapes, scratches, burns, and the like. The main difference between our recipe and the ones of old is the use of infused extra virgin olive oil, rather than lard or tallow. The herbs and essential oils - echinacea, goldenseal, calendula, comfrey, rosemary, chaparral, bitterroot, osha root, St. Johns wort, yarrow, white sage, plantain, tea tree, and myrrh - are nothing new. Keep it close at hand for all of life's little boo boos that need a little more than an an "all better kiss".
Directions: Apply to affected area after cleaning with mild soap and water and allowing to dry thoroughly. Cover with sterile bandaging if desired. Reapply twice daily or each time dressing is changed.

*Do not use on deep puncture wounds or wounds which are already infected, as this formula may cause them to close too quickly at the surface and prevent drainage. For these wounds, try our black salve instead.*
